Matanza is a short film shot in New Mexico. Currently, it’s making the festival circuit. It won best drama at the 2013 New Mexico Filmmakers Showcase.

Corey Weintraub (DP) shot most of the film with filtration, giving it the earth quality you can see above. We also added a layer of grain over the piece – a fine 35mm grain on the day scenes, and a gritty 16mm grain over the night scenes.
